well as I don't use a pick much anymore I cant help ur there. Twii but as hammer on goes it is just as it sounds, hammer the strings with ur Registered User fret hand instead of ur pick hand, really helps if ur finger tips are rock Joined: Monday, 21st of June 2010, 09:22:55 hard & have strong fingers though. look around tons of that stuff on Posts: 913 youtube. & anytime you think it is time to upgrade, it is time to upgrade. Viewed 17849 times Walmart Huh? yea it is time. but don't worry I've seen a few of the First
Act Strat copy is that weren't half bad with a little attention, but lose
the amp that is junk. get a new one with some nice features on it, the
prices cant be beat nowadays, & forget about the peddle for now, or at
least till you get ur hammer on down

Hm, for hammering on, check on youtube, specifically the Bebe channel ''expert village'' just type in ''guitar hammer ons'' or something Registered User like that. They have tons of great videos that will help you with stuff Joined: Wednesday, 28th of April 2010, 23:46:24 like that. For picks, it all depends what you play, what is comfortable, Posts: 162 or both. Personally, I play with medium picks, because they're not too Viewed 9833 times thin, but not too thick. I play some blues, punk, rock, alternative,
grunge, yadada. If you're playing serious death metal, get heavy picks. If
ur playing jazz, maybe get light picks. It is all really about what you're
comfortable with. I'd say go with medium picks, but that is just my
opinion. About the distortion pedal, it all depends on what kind you get.
You would leave ur amp on clean, & then when you hit the pedal, it would
go into distortion. (Obviously) If you're using a cheap walmart amp, I
suggest you get a pedal. Try maybe a BOSS DS-1 Distortion. It has a nice
sound, & you can get one at guitar center for about 30 bucks. Hope this
helps.
